In a recent radio interview, Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA) announced the availability of the Emergency Homeowner's Loan Program (EHLP). It's a billion dollar funded loan program that provides up to a $50,000 loan for 24 months to those who qualify by having lost a job through no fault of their own.
The special caveat is that if a loan recipient stays in their home for 5 years after receiving the loan, they don't have to pay it back. With each passing year, the loan repayment amount is decreased by 20%.
That's good stuff.
