A 5-year old girl was found in a cage, trying to eat herself in order to survive. Police say that her parents are the ones to blame for this tragedy.
Officers in Gloucester County, Virginia arrived at the home to investigate a burglary and found the child locked in a crib that had been converted to a cage. Brian and Shannon Gore are being charged with felony abuse. The mother is being charged with attempted capital murder.
The parents may also face first-degree murder after authorities found what appears to be the remains of another young child buried in the couples’ backyard. The little girl that police found was wearing only a t-shirt and a diaper. She was attempting to eat flakes of dry skin off her body.
